Dr. Brett Basden and his staff are excited to announce the addition of a second Auburn office, opening Monday, May 2nd. The new location is located in the Ogletree Village Shopping Center on the corner of Ogletree and Moores Mill Roads. The new office will offer exams and appointments with Dr. Basden as well as Dr. Daniel Eagan, Dr. Rob Pate and Dr. Helen Hadley. The new location will also feature a full array of the newest technology in complete eye health as well as a huge selection of designer frames and sunglasses.
A ribbon cutting and open house with the Auburn Chamber of Commerce will be scheduled soon. Watch for additional updates and information here or on Facebook and Twitter. The doctors and staff of Basden EyeCare are excited to welcome Dr. Rob Pate to the practice. Dr. Pate, his wife, Dana, and their five children return home to the Auburn community where Rob was a four year starter and All Conference safety for the Auburn Tigers from 1997-2000. He served his patients for eight years at EyeCare Associates in Hoover before joining Basden EyeCare. “Dana and I are ecstatic to be returning to Auburn,” commented Dr. Pate. “This is where our marriage began and we’re so excited to have the opportunity to raise our family here and become integral members of this community.” Dr. Pate was named the Young Optometrist of the Year in 2013 by the Alabama Optometric Association and in 2014 he was awarded the same honor nationally by the American Optometric Association. In early 2015 he was named the Young Optometrist of the South by the Southern Council of Optometrists. Dr. Pate serves the profession at the state level as the rising Vice President of the Alabama Optometric Association, as well as Chairman of the Alabama Special Olympics’ Opening Eyes program and Chairman and speaker for the InfantSEE program. He serves nationally on the state government relations committee of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Pate sees patients of all ages and especially enjoys challenging contact lens cases and dry eye patients. “To be able to add someone like Rob to an already exceptional group of doctors is a real blessing,” said Dr. Brett Basden. “Our practice has experienced tremendous growth over the last six years and the addition of someone like Dr. Pate will allow us to serve more patients in the community than ever before.”
